Eryk Group, together with the Consulate of Denmark in Lagos, recently co-organised a week-long study visit to Denmark for Nigerian delegates from the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET). Leading the delegation of top leaders from Nigeria’s leading technical institutions is the Executive Secretary of NBTE, Professor Idris Bugaje.
The week-long programme brought together Nigerian and Danish stakeholders to share knowledge on vocational education, labour mobility, and sustainable development.
The purpose of the visit is to:
• Learn from the Danish TVET model and its strong cooperation with industry.
• Exchange experiences on vocational training governance, curriculum, and partnerships.
• Build collaborations that can support the modernisation and strengthening of Nigeria’s TVET sector.

The lineup of programs created space for dialogue and partnership building. It also included an official dinner as well as a guided tour of Copenhagen hosted by Eryk.
This week-long engagement deepened insights into cooperation between Nigeria and Denmark. It highlights how shared knowledge in vocational education can drive skills development and future opportunities. It was a moment of learning not just for the delegates but also for Eryk.
In 2023, Eryk began collaborating with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding under the Nigerian Youth Skills Empowerment (NYSE) II Programme. Through this partnership, top graduates from technical schools across Nigeria will be selected via a competitive and rigorous process to train under EU Qualification Standards. Successful candidates will become certified electricians through Eryk’s Apprenticeship Programme in Europe. Learn more here.
