H.M. The King of Denmark, Frederik X, is going to Poland together with 38 Danish companies next week. It brings business promotion to a higher level, says Dansk Industri’s managing director, Lars Sandahl Sørensen.
H.M. The King is ready to continue decades of commitment in supporting the export opportunities of Danish business. On 31 January, he is thus at the head of a Danish official business promotion to Poland. And DI’s managing director Lars Sandahl Sørensen is happy about that.
The fact that King Frederik still chooses to participate in the trip to Poland shows his interest in the business world. I have felt this for a long time in the many business promotion campaigns in which he has been involved as crown prince. I am looking forward to the fact that his open and committed personality will once again open doors for Danish exports. It is of great importance for the industry and for Denmark, says Lars Sandahl Sørensen.
The King was invited to Poland by the Polish President Andrzej Duda, before the change in the Danish Monarchy was announced. 38 Danish companies are participating and the visit begins in Poland’s capital, Warsaw. Danish Industry, Agriculture & Food and Danish Business are co-organizers of the business promotion campaign, which will focus on energy efficiency as well as climate-friendly agricultural production and biogas.
From Warsaw, the King travels to the port city of Szczecin, where 25 companies with interests in offshore wind, power-to-x and port development are involved.
Poland is Denmark’s 9th largest export market and approx. 700 Danish companies do business in the country. Several companies also see Poland as the “gateway to Ukraine”, as Poland is a country with easy geographical access to the war-torn country.
Poland is an important neighbour, business partner and market for Denmark. Many Danish companies have production in Poland. That is why I am happy that the king has chosen to participate and thus bring the push to a higher level, says Lars Sandahl Sørensen.
Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Climate Energy and Supply Minister Lars Aagaard and Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Jacob Jensen also participate in business promotion campaign. The tour to Poland ends on 2 February.
