What it’s like to be part of Eryk’s Remote IT team: insights from our developer
At Eryk Remote IT Services, we don’t just build remote IT teams; our vision is to build teams that thrive across borders. Today, we’re excited to introduce one of our talented React software developers, Bolutife Lawrence, who’s part of our remote IT team.
With his keyboard in Nigeria and his code –powering projects in Europe, Bolutife brings not only technical brilliance but also cultural awareness, curiosity, and a good sense of humour.
What do you enjoy most about being part of Eryk’s remote IT setup?
- It strikes a nice balance: we have a focused workspace here in Nigeria, but all our energy goes toward projects with real impact in Europe. That makes the day-to-day feel purposeful and global.
- One of the highlights is the vibe in the office, lots of friendly banter and insightful conversations that go beyond just code. The monthly KSS -Knowledge Sharing Session also help us stay sharp and learn continuously. It’s a thoughtful mix of growth, connection, and fun.
How is the collaboration with European customers—what have you learned about working with international teams?
- I’ve learned how important cultural context can be. Small things, like how you phrase feedback or set expectations, can make a big difference in international teamwork.
- The customers are professional and well-organized. It challenged me to step up and match that level of clarity and reliability in everything I do.
What three words would you use to describe working at Eryk, and why?
Support, Trust, Global reach – “Support” because the team is always there if you need help, “trust” because I feel trusted to do good work, and “global reach” because you’re truly part of an international company.
How would you describe the work culture at Eryk?
It’s relaxed yet accountable. There’s space to breathe, but also an expectation that you own your work and deliver.
How does Eryk support your work-life balance as a remote developer?
The boundary between work and personal life is respected here. I can focus during core hours and fully disconnect afterward, which is refreshing.
Youve heard it from one of our Software developer, this is how it feels to be part of Eryk’s Remote IT team!
