TechBBQ 2025 in Copenhagen -Nordic Africa Startup Summit
After an inspiring two days at TechBBQ 2025 in Copenhagen, our Remote IT Services team is back, energized by the many conversations and sessions attended. The matchmaking sessions were particularly enriching.
The event also included the Nordic Africa Startup Summit, led by Charles Kinga and organized by TechBBQ. The event served as a dynamic meeting point for influential voices across the Nordic and African startup landscapes. It was a lively day filled with meaningful dialogue, valuable networking, and collaborative energy.
Representing Nigeria in this event was Dr. Bosun Tijani, Federal Minister for Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (Republic of Nigeria), who did the official opening with a speech on: Advancing a pro-entrepreneurship & pro-innovation Policy, how Nigeria is building platforms and policies that support talent, employment, and impact investments.
The initiative aimed to spotlight African innovation while building authentic partnerships between the Nordics and Africa, harnessing their combined strengths to address global challenges.
A big “thank you” to everyone we spoke with. It was a pleasure meeting with so many inspiring individuals and exchanging ideas.
Africa in focus
We were also excited to see the increasing focus on Africa and the opportunities it presents in the tech sector. The message was clear: Africa is not just emerging, it is already shaping the future of global tech.
At Eryk RIT, this focus felt natural. We are already building the bridge between African talent and European business needs. From our Lagos IT Service Centre, Nigerian specialists provide remote IT services that support customers in various industries.
Why Africa was the highlight
Africa’s growing developer base, youthful population, and expanding startup ecosystem were repeated themes at TechBBQ. Speakers underlined how international collaboration is key to unlocking this potential. The conversations showed that Africa is not a side story but a driving force in shaping how technology is designed, delivered, and scaled.
How Eryk RIT fits in
- We connect European companies with specialised Nigerian IT professionals.
- We deliver flexible and scalable IT services, which are fully remote and cost-efficient.
Looking ahead
We look forward to building on this momentum and providing value with Remote IT services from skilled specialists in Nigeria. We’re not only committed to the 2025 TechBBQ motto, “build to matter”, but also focused on creating lasting partnerships.
