At Eryk, we believe in making a positive impact beyond business, and 2023 has been a year filled with meaningful contributions to various causes. It is important to us that we conduct business in a manner that achieves sustainable growth whilst demonstrating a high level of social responsibility both within and beyond our local community. Here’s a glimpse of some of our commitments in diverse areas.
The Kilutori school in Kenya is one of such places to make a positive difference. This school is 100% privately financed and is the only primary school for young kids in the area. Eryk supports the school operations and in 2023 contributed close to half of the school’s budget. We have now signed an agreement pledging our support for 2024. However, the school is still in desperate need of new donors. Also, there are some kids finishing the Kilutori school, whose parents cannot afford to let them continue in a secondary school. It is because of tuition fees. Eryk is big on fostering teamwork and sportsmanship which is important in building young talents, hence our support to Iskierka (Junior Football Team). They keep making us proud of their success on the pitch. This brings us to the Majbasket (Junior Seewolves – Wilki Morskie, Basketball) where our support helps nurture young athletes in the world of basketball.
Also, in the line of sports, it has become our yearly tradition to support and participate in the King’s Eryk Run which encourages fitness and community engagement through running. In 2023 we had the privilege of meeting the Mayor of Darłowo, Arkadiusz Klimowicz, the King Eryk and many other fantastic people.
In our immediate environment, we are glad we could support Wood & Brass Band an energetic youth big band. Thanks to our donation, they were able to go to the USA, where they won a competition: WAMSB Championships 2023!
Apart from that, in promoting arts for cultural enrichment, we also supported Opera na Zamku.
Bookascreen (Klovborg Kino),association: Stowarzyszenie Orkiestra Jazzowa WAGART (Pali się!) and Movie Production „Wojtuś”, as well as heavy tunes initiatives: Rock Hard Free Ride and Gryf Events concerts for rock and metal fans. A plus to that is a collaboration with Gryf Events to support the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP).
Our commitment to corporate social responsibility is a driving force behind these initiatives. At Eryk, we believe in the transformative power of giving back and look forward to continuing our efforts in 2024 while creating a positive and lasting impact on the communities we serve.
