Report & Dashboard Development

• Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that meet client requirements

• Translate business questions into effective data visualisations that are clear, accurate, and easy to interpret

• Ensure reports follow best practices for layout, usability, and performance

• Publish and manage reports within the Power BI Service, including scheduling refreshes and configuring access

Data Modelling & Transformation

• Build and optimise data models using star schema and other standard modelling techniques

• Write DAX measures and calculated columns to support complex analytical requirements

• Use Power Query (M) to extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources

• Identify and resolve data quality issues, working with source system owners where necessary

Customer Engagement & Delivery

• Gather and clarify reporting requirements directly from client stakeholders

• Present completed reports and walk clients through key insights and functionality

• Respond to client feedback and iterate on deliverables to meet evolving needs

• Communicate progress, blockers, and timelines proactively and professionally

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with other developers, analysts, and project managers within the team

• Contribute to the development of reusable templates, standards, and documentation

• Stay current with Power BI updates, new features, and industry best practices

• Suggest improvements to existing reports and processes based on client feedback and data trends

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline

• Demonstrable experience with Power BI Desktop, including report design, data modelling, and DAX

• Solid understanding of data visualisation principles and dashboard design best practices

• Working knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases

• Experience using Power Query (M) for data extraction and transformation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid team setup and manage time effectively across time zones

• Experience publishing and managing reports in Power BI Service, including row-level security and workspace administration

• Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse)

• Exposure to other BI or analytics tools (Excel advanced analytics, SSRS, Tableau)

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis or automation

• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing fundamentals

• Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300 or equivalent)

• Prior experience in a client-facing or consulting delivery environment
